Introduction
"The Roger Goldsmith Final will be to be played on 15 May at Linton and involves the two Cambridge Teams and Linton. It is a three way final and the boards are cross-paired. The teams will draw on the night to decide which teams are a b and c and then will play in the crosspaired games accordingly.
The three teams could not be split at the end of the all play all stage based on the rules as they stood for this year. Hence this rather unusual arrangement."
